Exciting news at Chez Tragic!
I've got news! It's very exciting and I've been bursting at the seams (haha) all week keeping it to myself, but I'm allowed to share today! I'm lucky enough to become part of the blog writing team over at the fabulous Stitch 56 store!
If you haven't been to Stitch 56 do pop over and have a look! It's an online store based here in Melbourne, Australia, and Helene stocks the most fabulously curated range of sewing patterns, notions and other bits and pieces. She's particularly dedicated to promoting independent pattern designers, and high quality sewing tools and notions. Her garment pattern range includes Sewaholic, By Hand London, Colette, Thread Theory, Oliver + S, Petite Plus (a brand new pattern range for the petite and curvy ladies amongst us), Named, Victory Patterns, Angela Wolf, Amy Butler, Megan Nielsen, Christine Haynes, Liesel and Co...... and many more.
With so many garment, bag and homeware patterns in both PDF format and traditional paper I'm struggling to decide where to begin (actually thats a fib - I've got at least 5 projects planned in my plan-tastic little brain already - I'm keen on the SewLoft Caroline shirt, the Amy Butler Birdie Sling and for my beloved the You Sew Girl Flat Cap). Helene is also one of the few Australian stockists of the beautiful Merchant and Mills range of sewing tools and notions.
Stitch 56 is a great resource for us Antipodean sewists, but Helene also posts worldwide, and I remember being particularly impressed the first time I purchased from Stitch 56 by the very reasonable postage costs, outlined in great detail here.
Make sure you sign up to the blog or newsletter, so you can read my little monthly contribution, along with those of the other fabulous ladies Jo, Donna and Meredith, and to stay informed of new patterns, brands, products and sales.
Coming in the next couple of days - probably one of my most favourite makes EVER!
